May 08, 2024 – The current average interest rate for a 30-year fixed mortgage is 7.33%, decreasing 2 basis points over the last week. If you’re in the market for a mortgage refinance, the national average 30-year fixed refinance interest rate is 7.30%, falling 4 basis points over the last seven days. Meanwhile, the current average 15-year refinance interest rate is 6.83%, decreasing 9 basis points from a week ago. For now, the consensus is that mortgage rates will slowly ease down in 2024.
March 2024 – Los Angeles home prices were down 1.5% compared to last year, selling for a median price of $970K. On average, homes in Los Angeles sell after 43 days on the market compared to 44 days last year. There were 1,543 homes sold in March this year, down from 1,681 last year.
